James studied Theatre Design at Wimbledon School of Art.
On finishing his studies he spent several years working for Vivienne Westwood before consentrating on his design for theatre. His diverse work covers many genres of theatre including Dance, Opera, Site Specific, as well as Costume Design for Film.
James is an Associate Artist for Iron Shoes Theatre Company having designed Fen and Mad About the Boy for them.
