Ian Saunders

Ian studied at Rose Bruford College and since graduating he has worked at all scales of theatre in the UK from fringe venues to the West End, and even in shops, nightclubs and tents!

The styles of shows are just as varied whether they are straight plays, musicals, opera, comedy or site specific theatre. He believes that good lighting design is a collaborative process with other members of the creative team.  Whether the show is a comedy or tragedy, a two act drama or five act Shakespeare, an opera or an all singing, all dancing musical, light has its part to play in setting the scene.

Ian is a Professional Designer Member of the Association of Lighting Designers.
